Description
🔧 HD Dynamics Loop NitroShield Corrosion Blocker
A borate- and nitrite-based scale and corrosion inhibitor engineered for long-term protection of hot-water and chilled-water closed-loop recirculating systems.
Overview
HD Dynamics Loop NitroShield Corrosion Blocker is a professional-grade liquid treatment designed to control scale formation and corrosion in closed-loop hot-water and chilled-water systems. Its borate/nitrite chemistry provides reliable protection for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, helping prevent internal rusting, pitting, and mineral deposition that can restrict flow and reduce heat-transfer efficiency.
The formulation is easy to test and control, making it well suited for facilities that require consistent, measurable corrosion protection. A built-in color indicator assists operators in monitoring treatment presence, while the product can be injected directly into the system through a bypass feeder or compatible mild-steel feed equipment, simplifying integration into existing programs.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What type of systems is this product designed for?
It is designed for closed-loop hot-water and chilled-water recirculating systems.
How does it protect against corrosion?
Nitrite provides anodic corrosion inhibition, while borate helps stabilize pH and enhance overall protection.
Is it suitable for mixed-metal systems?
Yes. It protects both ferrous and non-ferrous metals commonly found in closed loops.
How is treatment level controlled?
By maintaining nitrite levels within the recommended ppm range through routine testing.
Can it be injected directly into the system?
Yes. It may be fed through a bypass feeder or compatible feed piping.
Does it require other treatment products?
Some systems may also require a microbicide or oxygen scavenger depending on conditions.
🧪 Active Ingredient(s) or Core Composition
• Sodium Nitrite (3–7%) – Primary corrosion inhibitor
• Sodium Borate (1–5%) – Supports scale control and system stability
• Sodium Hydroxide (1–5%) – Maintains alkaline pH
• Anionic Dispersants (1–5%) – Help prevent deposit buildup
• Water – Carrier for system distribution
📌 Directions for Use
Dosage depends on total system volume. A typical treatment rate is 1 gallon per 125 gallons of system capacity. Feed the product directly into the recirculating system using a bypass feeder or compatible injection equipment. For optimal corrosion protection, maintain nitrite (NO₂) levels between 350–1,000 ppm. In chilled-water systems, a microbicide is recommended for biological control. Some hot-water and chilled-water systems may also require an oxygen scavenger; when used, control sulfite (SO₃) levels between 20–40 ppm.
