Description

💧 HD Dynamics Hard Water Guard Complete

A multifunctional boiler water treatment engineered to control scale, corrosion, oxygen attack, and condensate line deterioration in hard-water steam systems.

Overview

HD Dynamics Hard Water Guard Complete is a complete, all-in-one boiler water treatment formulated specifically for hard-water steam and condensate systems. It combines alkalinity builders, oxygen scavengers, sludge dispersants, and volatile amine corrosion inhibitors into a single liquid solution, eliminating the need for multiple chemical feeds.

As the product travels with the steam, it delivers system-wide protection, safeguarding boiler internals, steam lines, and condensate return piping from scale formation, oxygen corrosion, and acidic condensate attack. This integrated approach helps maintain heat-transfer efficiency, reduce maintenance demands, and extend overall system life in demanding industrial and commercial boiler applications.

✅ What This Product Is Used For
• Treating hard-water steam boiler systems
• Preventing scale and mineral deposition

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this a “complete” treatment?
It combines alkalinity control, oxygen scavenging, sludge dispersion, and condensate corrosion inhibition in one formulation.

Does it protect condensate return lines?
Yes. Volatile amine components travel with the steam to protect condensate piping.

Is it designed for hard-water systems?
Yes. The formulation is specifically engineered for high-hardness makeup water.

Can it be used with other boiler chemicals?
Yes. It may be mixed with other boiler treatment products when required.

Is continuous feeding recommended?
Yes. Continuous feed provides the most consistent protection for large or industrial systems.

How is system performance monitored?
By maintaining proper alkalinity and sulfite residual levels and following a regular blowdown schedule.

🧪 Active Ingredient(s) or Core Composition
Sodium Sulfite – Oxygen scavenger to prevent corrosion
Sodium Hydroxide – Maintains alkalinity and controls scale formation
Potassium Carbonate – Supports pH balance and scale control
Diethylethanolamine – Protects steam and condensate lines from corrosion
Proprietary Dispersants – Control sludge and suspended solids
Water – Carrier for system distribution

📌 Directions for Use
Dosage depends on percent condensate return, makeup water hardness, and system cleanliness. The treatment program must include regular blowdown to remove sludge and suspended solids. The product may be fed on a one-shot basis or through an automated continuous feed system. Continuous feeding is recommended for industrial and large boilers. If the boiler system has not been previously treated, apply an initial starting dose of twice the weekly maintenance amount for the first four weeks.
For weekly maintenance, add ½ gallon (2 quarts) per week for each 25 horsepower of boiler capacity. Control treatment by maintaining phenol (P) alkalinity between 500–700 ppm and sulfite levels between 20–40 ppm.

⚠️ Safety & Handling
Danger. Causes severe skin burns and serious eye damage. Harmful if swallowed. Do not breathe mist or spray. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, and eye protection when handling. Wash thoroughly after handling and remove contaminated clothing before reuse. If swallowed, rinse mouth and do not induce vomiting. If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and seek immediate medical attention. Store locked up and keep out of reach of children.
